St Marys station parking and the WSI Link

St Marys parking and the airport shuttle

You can use St Marys Park&Ride for a short airport trip if your whole parking stay meets the rules. The temporary WSI Link shuttle starts on Sunday 25 October 2026. Its tap-on and tap-off journey can validate free Park&Ride parking, but you must leave within 18 hours of entering and meet the other eligibility terms.

The availability figures below end on 12 October, before the shuttle opens. They show an earlier parking pattern, not airport demand after launch.

Check the shuttle times before you plan the drive.

The temporary fare-free WSI Link service is due to start on Sunday 25 October 2026. It runs every 30 minutes between St Marys and the airport.

  • Sunday to Thursday: 4:30 am to midnight.
  • Friday and Saturday: 4:30 am to 1 am.
  • At St Marys: board at Nariel Street, stop 2760238.
  • At the airport: board at Stand A, stop 255519.

Every 30 minutes is the service frequency, not the journey time. Check your full trip and return service in the Transport for NSW Trip Planner before leaving.

Before you park

The free parking benefit has an 18-hour limit.

WSI Link can validate free parking at the St Marys Park&Ride when your trip and parking stay meet the Transport for NSW conditions. The limit applies to the time between entering and leaving the car park.

  1. Park in the dedicated Transport Park&Ride area and follow its signs.
  2. Use the same accepted Opal card or contactless card or device for the eligible trip, tapping on and off. Contactless users must first link Park&Ride in Transport Connect. An accepted Opal card can validate at the exit.
  3. Make an eligible public transport journey between entering and leaving the car park.
  4. Leave within 18 hours of entry. Crossing midnight does not start a new allowance.
Example: if you enter at 7 am, leave before 1 am the next day to stay under 18 hours. Check that a return shuttle is running at the time you need.

This is not free multi-day airport parking. For an overnight trip, count the full stay from entry to exit and check the operator's conditions. If you exceed 18 hours or miss the eligibility requirements, fees apply.

Pre-opening baseline · 21 July–12 October 2026

Weekday spaces were lower than weekend spaces at noon.

Across the normal-term dates, weekday noon medians ranged from 114 spaces on Tuesday to 340 on Friday. Saturday's noon median was 611; Sunday's was 636. These are historical counts for the monitored Park&Ride, not a promise of future availability.

The temporary shuttle does not start until 25 October. This baseline cannot show any change in parking demand after it opens.

The chart uses the dated baseline from 21 July to 12 October 2026. A median table is available below.

History only, not live availability or a forecast. The middle-half band shows date-to-date variation, not measurement accuracy. Missing points remain gaps; no zero values or smoothed readings are added.

Each Monday to Friday curve uses 10 matching non-holiday dates; Saturday and Sunday each use 11. The 84-date feed had no observed reading at or below the 21-space practical-full threshold; its lowest reported count was 83 spaces. That is a result from this historical feed, not a guarantee.

Where to enter

Follow the signs to the Harris Street car park.

Wilson Parking lists the St Marys Park&Ride entrance on Harris Street, a 2.30 m vehicle clearance and 24-hour opening. Check the current operator information and follow the signs at the car park.

  • Monitored capacity: 684 spaces in the ParkRide Planner feed.
  • Entrance: Harris Street.
  • Vehicle clearance: 2.30 m.
  • Open: 24 hours.

The 684-space figure covers the monitored facility only. It does not count other St Marys street parking, guarantee a space or reserve one for you.

Choose what suits the trip

St Marys works only when the timing and parking rules fit.

It may suit a short airport visit if you can use the eligible shuttle journey, keep the whole car park stay under 18 hours and return while the service is running.

For a short pickup or visit, compare the airport's launch offer with St Marys. It is a limited-availability, online-only Saver P2 booking: 3 hours free for visits from 26 October. If you stay longer than 3 hours, the full Saver P2 fee applies to the whole stay. Check the airport booking page and launch announcement; direct airport parking may be simpler than two shuttle legs.

What the baseline includes.

The parking baseline was prepared on 13 October 2026 from ParkRide Planner's compiled Transport for NSW car-park readings for 21 July to 12 October. It contains 84 completed daily outcomes. The monitored St Marys facility has a feed capacity of 684 spaces.

For each date and 15-minute time, the summary uses one observation per date and gives dates equal weight. It shows the median and interpolated 25th and 75th percentiles, with at least five dates required. Invalid values and readings without a fresh timestamp, or more than five minutes old, are excluded. NSW public-holiday and school-holiday dates are excluded from the normal-day curves. Values in the table are rounded to whole spaces.

Holiday comparisons have only one or two matching dates per weekday, too few to establish a holiday or airport effect. Four unexplained rises of more than 150 spaces appear between 3:45 am and 4 am on 6, 7, 8 and 11 August. Their cause is unknown. The chart starts at 4:30 am and supports no overnight-arrival claim.
