There was no single Sydney Metro parking full time in the eight weeks ending . On some weekdays, median term-time full times varied by more than two hours between stations. The weekday also made a large difference.
Method note, 30 July 2026: this article preserves the eight-week dataset used for the analysis published on 20 July. ParkRide Planner now plans with the past 12 matching normal-term weekdays; Past 8 remains available as a free recent comparison. The historical results below have not been relabelled as 12-week findings.

Its median practical-full time was between about 6:45 and 7:05 am from Monday to Thursday. Tallawong and Hills Showground were usually next.
Kellyville stayed open later
Its median practical-full time was about 8:35-9:15 am on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Bella Vista also lasted past 9 am on Monday.
Tuesday filled earliest
Every station reached practical full on all six recent term-time Tuesdays. The latest median full time was about 8:05 am at Kellyville.
Friday was quieter
Kellyville and Bella Vista stayed open through noon on all five recent term-time Fridays. The other three stations also filled later than earlier in the week.

These are medians from completed matching mornings, rounded to the nearest five minutes. “Stayed open” means the station did not become practically full by noon on any matching morning in this window.

Key patterns
Tuesday had the earliest full times
Cherrybrook, Tallawong and Hills Showground were typically tight around 6:45-7:05 am. Bella Vista followed around 7:55 am, and Kellyville around 8:05 am. An 8 am Tuesday arrival was already late for most of these stations.
Kellyville and Bella Vista lasted later on Monday
The median Monday gap between Cherrybrook and Kellyville was more than two hours. Bella Vista also remained open later. These are recent medians, not a guarantee that either station will have space on a particular Monday.
Friday was quieter
Kellyville and Bella Vista did not reach practical full by noon on any of the five matching Fridays. Tallawong, Hills Showground and Cherrybrook still filled, but later than their Monday-to-Thursday medians. Using Tuesday's pattern for Friday would be too conservative.
How this analysis was calculated
Method: ParkRide Planner analysed completed weekdays from 25 May to 19 July 2026. NSW public holidays and school holidays were excluded so the table represents term-time commuting. A car park is practically full when it stays below the app's small, capacity-adjusted number of remaining spaces. It does not need to reach exactly zero. Tallawong is counted as practically full when P1, P2 and P3 have each crossed their threshold; Kellyville uses the same approach for North and South. The times are medians from mornings that filled by noon.
School holidays were excluded because quieter holiday mornings can shift a term-time median later. The companion school-holiday analysis compares the two groups separately.
The parking readings come from the Transport for NSW Car Park API. Source values can be stale, delayed or corrected, so these results describe recent patterns rather than guarantee a future morning.
How to use these results
- Plan by weekday. Do not use Friday's pattern to plan a Tuesday commute.
- Consider Kellyville and Bella Vista for a later arrival. They often had more room on Monday and Friday, but Tuesday was much tighter.
- Check live conditions before driving. Historical medians describe what usually happened, not what is available now.
- Check each car park. ParkRide Planner separates Tallawong P1, P2 and P3 and Kellyville North and South so one full car park does not hide another option.
